14 Ethiopian nationals who were incarcerated for more than a year in Zimbabwe, while attempting to travel to South Africa illegally have been returned home. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the government, in its efforts to repatriate its nationals from danger is highly committed as ever. Ethiopian Man Falls From New York GWB Tower

The man was speaking to a Port Authority Police officer when he jumped, authorities said. An Ethiopian man died Wednesday afternoon after he climbed the New Jersey tower of the George Washington Bridge and jumped into the Hudson River, authorities said. Port Authority Police spokesperson Joe Pentangelo said the man was in his early 30s and from Ethiopia. The New Jersey State Police recovered the man from the water and took him to Ross Dock in Fort Lee where an ambulance brought him to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.
